The GOP and the government shutdown

Funny how quick they are to deny it, now that they're actually planning it...

The part I find funniest? Newt Gingrich's bit. After all, he was responsible for the last government shutdown, in 1995. (Which, incidentally, might have helped improve Clinton's approval ratings - so good planning there, guys).

  1. Why am I so not surprised? I predict that their arrogance will be their downfall.

  3. The GOP will be deservedly blamed for the shutdown once it occurs. They've done virtually nothing anyway for the past 4 years, so it won't matter to them one bit. I hope voters will smarten up and kick their sorry asses out of government altogether in 2012!

  4. okee Doke.... Signatures for recall of Wisconsin State Senator Randy Hopper will be delivered to Madison today. Last tally I heard, unofficially, was that they had gathered @23,000 .... only 15,200 were needed, this was accomplished in about 30 days, of an allowed 60. I am also getting my semi-annual haircut at 4 today. Spectators welcome, heckling not allowed. And have a good day!!
