TWO OCTOPODES MOMENTS

In another 100,000 years, cephalopods
will be farm-raising human beings.

  1. Farm-raised humans?

    Nah.

I have to believe cephalopods will find better uses for their efforts.

Humans are far too much trouble for what they're worth. The combination of low yield and intensive crop management make humans entirely cost-ineffective. The costs of fertilizer alone are prohibitive.

And given how long it takes them to reach 'maturity' well, I just don't see it.

  2. Arthurstone, i understand what you are saying about high maintenance and low yield; but slow maturation need not necessarily be an impediment. A modest and Swift proposal: Lets take some pressure off calves.

  3. I just started the stop watch, counting the seconds before some twit arrives to point out the "proof" that we do indeed eat Christian babies.

    Never with dairy products though.

  5. Speaking of which I enjoyed pajata at Piperno, one of the great Jewish/Roman restaurants once upon a time and the recipe could easily be adapted from calves and lambs to...babbies. Start with carciofi and finish up with pala di nono (grandfather’s balls), deep fried, chocolate speckled balls of ricotta.

  6. Captain - I just started the stop watch, counting the seconds before some twit arrives to point out the "proof" that we do indeed eat Christian babies.

My first wager is on the nutty professor. Last night, I noticed a double link under my 'KOCHROACHES' post. Sure enough, it lead back to the humorless and witless twit who is still carrying a grudge. I deleted the links.

Any twit who fails to notice the allusion to 'Modest' and 'Swift' deserves turning himself/herself into self parody.

And shouldn't be a "professor" of any kind. That's elementary school stuff any Yahoo should know.

You wonder how firmly his tongue adheres to his cheek though. Was he in charlatan mode or just an ignoramus when he accused me of calling for the ritual beheading of Limbaugh when I said heads should roll at Newscorp.

My bet is that he's just a psycho, if you don't mind the technical terminology.
