I love this, although there is another side to the story: AIG, for example, was the second largest holder of government and private pension funds (My retired father-in-law, for example). Had it failed, millions of pensioners would not have received their pension payments and therefore been able to pay for housing, food and necessities. The "Wealthy Man" would have survived just fine.
One of the few things more fun than simply being the very wealthy man is to be that VWM when everyone else is broke and suffering, because that translates into power. It's not that Republicans don't care about widows and orphans, the sick and poor, aged and helpless -- they love them in fact. They love them just as they are.
We welcome civil discourse from all people but express no obligation to allow contributors and readers to be trolled. Any comment that sinks to the level of bigotry, defamation, personal insults, off-topic rants, and profanity will be deleted without notice.
I like it!
ReplyDeleteIs this a great country for Very Wealthy Men, or what?
