To the Wayback Machine!

Maybe this is how we should teach history.

(Do I need to warn you that there might be some bad language? Or have you figured that out about me already?)

  1. Nameless,
Now that was durn precious, I say, and well worth watching (hint, hint). With my limited attention span, this 4 minutes of video beats the pants off Sponge Bob.

You're also right about the way history is taught ... however this video would be considered too subversive for little Amerikans. Real Amerikans demand real big lies to go with their beer - (BELCH) ... and inconvenient truths are sooo ... un-Amerikan!

  2. Thank you nameless one. I enjoyed the voices and the general characterizations of Peabody and Sherman. Very true to the original concept. Surely the greatest political cartoon from the American 1960s. The information seems very reliable. The only error I found was Hussein's ascension to power in Iraq. The cartoon said 1958. I'm fairly certain it was 1968. But a laudable and thoroughly enjoyable effort. Albeit somewhat cynical. I had no knowledge whatsoever of the march in Tehran that preceded the embassy hostage crisis. I try to get most of my 1970s history through Sarah Palin. She's so fucking smart!!! That Reagan surely had a spine of steel! N'est ce pas?
