    Although modesty prevents me, I thank you from the bottom of my vascular system (and please note: cephalopod blood is based on copper, not iron, and is true blue in color and persuasion). Yes indeed, invertebrates ARE the 97%, and we have rights too.

    Not just the 99% or the 97%, let us also not forget the ONE (for whom, in the words of Captain Kirk, the needs of the ONE outweigh the many). I refer of course to our beloved dinosaur, the last of his kind. The only way to preserve his noble line is to make him immortal.

    Excellent post. I assure you that there's more than one of us "extinct" lizards for humanity to reckon with. We usually try to keep a low profile so children and frightened adults don't throw rocks at us, but we are here, biding our time until the humans wise up and turn the planet over to us again.
