Tagg, you're it

So, now even the Romney kids are allowed to weigh in on the race? How do these dicks even get a public forum?

See, Tagg Romney... OK, first off, what the hell is up with these rich kids' names? Tagg, Piper, Trig: it used to be that you could expect the stupid names to come from ex-hippies - River, Leaf, Phoenix. But it's all coming from the right this time around.

But regardless of that, Tagg went on some second-rate North Carolina radio show, and when he got asked how he felt about President Obama calling his dad a liar, he coughed up the following hairball.
"Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can't do that because, well, first because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that's the nature of the process."
Now, let's get this out of the way right off the bat. Tagg, you really don't have much call to get all cranky anyway. It was only a couple of weeks before the second debate that Daddy (who's admittedly, a dishonest bag of douche himself) said that he raised a big old bunch of liars - that would be you, right?
"I've got 5 boys. I'm used to people saying the same thing over and over again hoping it becomes true."
So, unless you beat Daddy up while no cameras were around, you don't get to be all up in arms about this. But there's something even more important that you aren't taking into account.

Tagg, you're the privileged son of a known bully. You probably aren't used to walking around without a group of sniveling syncophants trailing along behind you, willing to do whatever they had to in order to keep you happy, from beating up other kids to backrooom blowjobs.

So it's possible that you aren't even aware how big a puss you are. You're a pampered, self-indulgent rich kid. Hell, you couldn't take Barack. You couldn't even take Michelle: she's got better arms than you do.

I'll go one step further. Sasha and Malia would put a fist right in your crotch and you'd drop like a rock, and probably wet yourself. It wouldn't take the Secret Service; Bo, the First Dog, wouldn't have a hard time making you run.

These aren't people scared that your dad is going to fire them. I know their skin might be a little darker than yours, but they aren't the help. Any one of them could kick your ass.

It really wouldn't take much.

  1. I wouldn't mind drop kicking that damn Bullyfish Bunch myself - if it were legal. Perhaps I can get the Atlantis Legislature to pass a special ordnance; invite Rmoney to make a special campaign appearance; then let the barracuda, the sharks, and the tarpon have a feeding frenzy.

On a more ominous note: This election is no longer a contest between Romney and Obama. It has devolved into a struggle between the forces of neo-fascism versus democracy. If Obama fails to win in November, I doubt there will be any democracy left within 4 years.

  2. Such odious offspring. ANd why can't they have any normal names in that family? Mitt, Tagg... WTF??

  3. I can't blame such things on growing up rich. I think we find as many snobs at other socio-economic levels because humans need groups and tribes to identify with and the working class kid that for some reason hates what he might call "yuppies" or rich snobs can be exhibiting the same tribalism. I just blame it on the parents and in this family, although I'm no expert on Mormons and I apologize if I say something wrong, the father is sort of a household god and priest and holy authority to a degree far in excess of what we find elsewhere. Defending his father is like defending the faith or even defending God, which is something that puzzles me very much.

Maybe there's some kind of psychological syndrome that includes giving you kids names like Tagg or Trig or Track. Maybe that involves a huge, swollen and needy ego -- a need to show how special you and your family is. I can certainly understand calling yourself Mitt though, if your name is actually Willard. Remember the eponymous movie about the rats?

But one thing I'm sure of is that, as Octo says, it's not about the candidates, it's about tribal warfare, tribal warfare. It's about authoritarianism masquerading as Libertarianism for one thing. It's about self-pitying greed dressed up as "principle."

It's not as though self identified Liberals are always right, free from hypocrisy or extremism or self delusion, or from reciting principle and dogma in the face of contradictory data, but we have to choose sides and for me it's an easy choice.

I'm wondering if we can really say we have a real democracy right now. It takes more than elections. It takes a greater degree of equality than I think we enjoy these days. It takes some restraint on the ability of massive money to bewilder, confuse, mislead, delude and seduce the public. That Allen West, a war criminal, forced to resign from the military for misconduct and torture of a civilian, Allen West who thinks the State Department is full of Muslim radicals and half the Representatives need to be deported is ten points ahead of his Democratic opponent in my district is enough for me to be sure Democracy is as irrelevant and impotent as it was in 1930's Germany or in the former Soviet States. The saddest part is that we participate in the demise, we so called liberals, by staying home, telling ourselves we don't matter and our votes don't matter, by being polite and not offending the Brown Shirts and the Tea pukes. We outnumber them and yet we let them walk on us.

  4. Tagg is nothing more than that guy in the bar screaming for his bros to hold him back! Pleading for them to hold him back!

But, worse Tagg learned the craft of being a Corporate Jackal from Daddy Mitt as well as Lee Fang in the Nation reports Tagg is involved in an $8 Billion dollar Ponzi Scheme.

    1. Democracy? Democracy is nothing more than majoritarian rule. 50.01% can deny the rights of the other 49.99% in a true democracy.

It is why we have a democratic republic governed by the rule of law, not the whim of a democratically elected ruling mob.

What I fear as well, especially given the current rEpublican party neo-con and so-con base is the very real possibility of a minority gaining control and leading the nation further towards a new theological fascism in America.

      Scary sh*t in 2012 methinks...

    2. Oh I disagree with that. I distinguish between Democracy and the tyranny of the majority because we're a constitutional Democracy with a framework that protects the interests of the minority -- or is supposed to. We get pressure from both sides to ignore the constitution of course.

    3. Oh I disagree with that. We are in fact a Constitutional Democratic Republic. Not a Constitutional Democracy.

Lest we forget. Certainly there are many working hard in the effort to make sure we all do

  5. Wow. Where to begin?

Cap'n: of course we have a problem with people not voting. We don't have that GOP Groupthink going on, so some people think it isn't worth it, some think they're too far above it, and some think that both sides are the same, so why vote? We don't have a 24-hour network jamming propaganda into our brains, so we allow the more "activist" or "invested" to fail, because we can't be bothered. Welcome to America 2012 - all reality shows and Honey Boo Boo, all the time.

"I'll buy that for a dollar!"

RatNat - I can't help but notice that you're starting to understand that your chosen party is moving away from reality. Have you started reading LGF yet? Mr Johnson could use some love...

But incidentally, we're technically a Representative Democracy, which is being taken over by capitalism and other forces. ("Fascism should more properly be called Corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini)

Oh, and "Tagg" is short for "Taggart" - a Scottish last name. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

  6. Actually, no I have not started to read LGF. Don't really need to read the left to understand when the right is wrong. I'm going to jump to the conclusion that everyone has their own biases.

Ah yes, Corporatism, I suppose the terms can be used interchangeably, I have done so on occasion. On the other hand capitalism, in its proper form is interchangeable with neither.

Smilling at reference to Taggert. Acknowledging it quite appropriate when considering references to certain, shall we say, anti capitalist associations.

    1. Actually, LGF used to be a very right-wing blogger, who came to his senses about five years back.

  7. If memory serves, Taggart was a protagonist in Atlas Shrugged, which tells you something about the Romneys: people who follow the only work of fiction more pathetic than the BOM. People have to write books like this because only in fiction will you find confirmation of such demented, superstitious and malignant lies.

BTW, that quote is of dubious origin according to Wiki, but mixing business and State may be as odious and dangerous as Church and State.

  8. A pompous young man called Taggart
The son of an infamous braggart
Said "just show me the cad
    Who insulted my dear dad
And I'll make very sure that he's daggered."

  9. I don;t know. When my dad ran for mayor 30 years ago his opponent lied like hell about what he would do and they tried all kinds of dirty tricks. I wanted to kick that guy's ass. Difference was my dad told the truth. Tagg was mad because his dad's lies were called out. Liars are the most outraged at being called liars.

That sums it all up as far as I'm concerned and liars are also very likely to call other people liars. Same thing with the other deadly sins.
