Phil Robertson -- you know the formerly beardless frat boy / football player who learned to cash in on American savagery to the tune of at least $15 million, simply hates everything a free country is based on. Sure he squeals like a pig when called to task for hating other people's freedom but somehow finds those who don't share his horrifyingly sexually perverted ideas about religious tyranny something to be mocked.
Most disgusting to me is the support he gets from Southern Country Folk who don't see past the camo shirt uniform of Bible based solidarity to the seething sulfurous evil of his bigotry camouflaged as that old time religion. Speaking in Vero Beach, Florida yesterday he erupted like Satan's pustulant anus with a story about how atheists could see their wives and daughters raped and beheaded and their penises cut off and not know whether it was right or wrong because, apparently, they don't believe the stupidest, most absurd lie ever told.
Sadly I have to support his "right" to sell evil, to promote evil, to incite to evil, but sadder is that all you "good" Christians out there are silent -- if not praising, yet still supporting him by such faint damnation as he gets. No one has the right to talk about evil without mentioning Phil and the millions of demons who admire him overtly or covertly. We get outrage when a cosmologist suggests that we can understand the universe as well without mythology, when we offer proof of the age of the planet or of the origin of species. A silence falls over the voices of the Saved as evil rings out like a church bell.
Saddest of all is that those like me who hate him enough to see him drawn and quartered and disemboweled like Babington in the public square -- and all those good and moral and kind and decent people his kind have murdered since the beginning of time -- of all of them, among those least likely to shove hot pokers up his ass, put his balls in a wringer and immerse him in a tub of red, fuming Nitric Acid as he truly deserves, are Atheists. Yeah, Phil, I know it's wrong.
But it's so tempting.
I saw this report. Was going to do a post on it. I'm glad you did.
ReplyDeletePeople like Phil, there is just no rational explanation for their beliefs or actions.
That Vero Beach connection: Go ahead; rub it in.
ReplyDeleteWhat enrages me about this story, the gobsmacking piece of shit received a "warm reception" from the crackerbarrel crowd - the ones driving pickup trucks with blackened windows who rev their engines at stoplights, screech their tires, weave and dodge through traffic lanes, and intimidate peaceful law-abiding snowbirds and Q-Tips.
It also enrages me when mainstream media publicize this shit - giving an air of legitimacy to anarchist outlaws who deserve nothing less than prison.
Finally, the words meet the definition of "incitement" - inspiring every crazy in the land to commit atrocities on the same scale of ISIS - rape, beheadings and all.
Time to withdraw from the corrupt species than calls itself "human" and take my chances in the Bermuda Triangle.
The only exception I would take is to note the outrageous behavior of Northerners in their shiny black "Crossovers" who try to blow you off the road while you're minding your own business cruising along at 95. It's like a red flag to a bull or like coming into Deadwood with a reputation. Every one of these Crossover Crusaders who left his balls at the Toyota dealer thinks he has to pass the 200mph sports car with his fucking "crossover" and drag race me at every stoplight.
DeleteI've had more hair raising incidents this winter driving on the tollway or I-95 then I have had in years and years. Connecticut, Quebec, New York, New Jersey: "get out of my way - I've got a CROSSOVER!"
In a few weeks they'll be gone and peace will reign.
Wow ... pretty intense view of this character. Funny thing in this, I live in Texas (I guess some call it the south), even watch the tele ... yet never even heard of this guy Robertson or even this pop tele series about this duck club or whatever it is until he came up in MSM news making controversial statement's. I havent really read much up on this guy yet for that matter to comment much about him or his ideology or religion or whatever this is about. But know we are saturated with this religious fundamoralism, which can really fuck ones head up. But enough from me ... I was just stopping by for old times sake, since I used to visit Truth101/ Joe's old site back a few years. Other than that, the appropriate thing to tell this fella (Robertson) ... would be ... Go Fuck a Duck!!, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh {: )
DeleteWhen my blood pressure climbs over this s*it I've learned to deflect the anger and channel it towards the genre comic relief.
ReplyDeleteIdiots are easy to laugh at; and it is true you can't change the mind of an empty skull.
You can use his empty skull as an ashtray or pisspot too, but it's the silence of the sheep that bothers me. The last time "reverend" Phelps showed up here a few years ago, several hundred men on Harleys showed up to drown him out. Where is the protest against this bastard? What with all the Bible Study and Church going here, you'd think you'd hear someone say "hey wait a minute" but no. It's all quiet on the Southern front and worse, people like him for being, like Sarah Palin, a "maverick" not afraid to speak out against those Yankee liberals.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, if non-believers really couldn't tell right from wrong, he'd have been torn limb from limb a long time ago.
