The Pope, Climate Change, and Brother Schlubb

Jeb Bush, or Brother Schlubb of the Shrub family as I would prefer to call him, says Pope Francis should not discuss climate change because the pontiff is “not a scientist.”

Brother Schlubb is a politician, not a scientist.  Crusty Christy, a Roman Catholic, says the pontiff should “stay away from politics.”  Rick Sanctimoniously Stupid Santorum, also a Roman Catholic, says the pontiff should “leave science to the scientists.”

None of these quack politicians are scientists. Yet, all share these traits in common: All are Roman Catholic who privilege themselves to speak against climate change, but think the Pope has no right to join the conversation.

Here’s an inconvenient truth:  Pope Francis holds a degree in chemistry and worked in a lab before joining the Church.  The Pope, more than any of these hacks, has the education, experience and qualifications to understand climate science.  Yet, here is another lame excuse by crackpot politicians to marginalize another voice.

DO ANY OF THESE CRACKPOTS HAVE ANY SELF-AWARENESS ABOUT HOW INCREDIBLY HYPOCRITICAL, SELF-SERVING, AND STUPID THEY APPEAR!

  2. Answer to your question: NO!

JEB! Little Ricky, and Crispy Christie should have nothing to say about de-funding Planned Parenthood, since they're not women; they should have nothing to say about cutting food stamps, since they're not poor; and they should, since the profess to be Catholics, brush up on what their Savior says about doing for the least of His flock. HINT TO JEB! Jesus gave away "free stuff" to the hungry: Fish and bread! In addition to free health care, since, IIRC, the NT says he healed the sick, and didn't charge for his services. So there's that.

Apparently they do not like this Pope because he's an example of what they, as "practicing" Catholics, are not.

  3. More hypocritical nonsense from Brother Schlubb: A week ago, Catherine Rampell of the Washington Post posted this analysis of Brother Schlubb’s tax plan:

The Republican presidential candidate would make out like a bandit under his own plan. According to my quick-and-dirty, back-of-the-envelope calculations based on Bush’s 2013 tax return, his liability for that year would have fallen by about $800,000, or about a quarter of what he paid Uncle Sam.

In contrast, middle-class taxpayers receive only a token increase in family exemptions, a mere morsel compared to Brother Shrubb’s windfall. Smoke and mirrors, snake oil, and deception …

  4. Then we have the Trump plan. Simple, straight forward, spectacular. So much so it will take time to sort out the simplicity.

Wonder who the best in America are that he consulted.
