GARFIELD ON THE GULF OIL CRISIS

A lot of folks can't understand how we came
to have an oil shortage in our country.
Well, there's a very simple answer.

Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We didn't know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical.
Our OIL is located in …

ALASKA
California
Coastal Florida
Coastal Louisiana
North Dakota
Wyoming
Colorado
Kansas
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
Texas

But our dipsticks are located in DC.
Any Questions?

  1. Well yes, now that you've asked. I do have questions because if you can safely get all that oil to market; if we let foreign oil companies sell it on the world market, it's not going to do us much good relative to lowering costs, lowing costs will only prompt us to use it faster and we're probably not going to get much tax revenue from the profits they make, if we get any at all.

You do have an answer, don't you? maybe one that doesn't try to hide the facts by giggling about dipsticks in Washington? Cause if you don't, I have this great idea about cleaning up the oil with cats.

  2. No matter what the answer is, the dipsticks in DC are still dip shits (and leave my cat alone).
