Short memories

Does anybody remember why Hitler's march into Russia failed? It was for exactly the same reason that Napoleon's similar march failed, right? I'm not comparing Romney to Hitler, except in that they both seem unable to learn from history. This is Romney's latest campaign ad.

I'm not even going to attack the obvious lies, distortions and half-truths that it's riddled with. Instead, here's a failed campaign strategy from just 4 short years ago.

Is it just me?

  1. This is totally anecdotal, but I have to tell you that after a couple of years of really struggling, my 20-something kids are doing a lot better lately, both making progress in their chosen fields. If they and their friends are at all typical of what's going on in the country, this line of argument is going to be one of the worst mistakes the Republicans have ever made. Although given what they have to offer, I guess trying to convince people that up is down may be all they have.

  2. I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I do know I'll be voting Gary Johnson in the general election in 2012 after he recessives the Libertarian nomination.

    1. Whatever dude. I prefer to vote my principles and conscience rather than be a sheeple.

By the way, I consider you calling me an idiot at RN USA quite revealing.

    1. So, being cool is now the criteria? Damn this nation is indeed in deep straits.

  5. .

Celebrity President? Really? This is all the RepublicanT Party is able to come up with?! Too soft. The hate based RW are out for blood. They not only want to beat Mr Obama, they want Mr and Mrs Obama beaten up.

Well I guess the RepublicanT Party could come up with a slogan, "Romney is on a learning curve to not be a celebrity." This will instill confidence in the 'RW Hate' base. Voters should select the RepublicanT Party because they ain't celebrities?

  6. I enjoy watching the manifestations of desperation on the part of the GOP.

  7. Saw a little morale booster on the WNYC radio page yesterday. Romney trailing in most of the twelve battleground states. A virtual dead heat in FL, IA, NC and VA. Trailing badly in NM, CO, WI NH, NV and MI. A little down on his luck in PA and OH.

Butt did sound fairly desperate trying to make us believe that he could have got OBL.

    1. A morale booster for some. A disappointment for others.

Perhaps one day the voting population will become educated and discontinue carrying water for either major party. Both who IMO have failed the nation, read We the People miserably.

Unfortunately I don't hold out any belief that it will change any time soon.
