PUTIN’S PAWN

Is political power worth the price of treason?
Friday’s intelligence report disclosing the Russian hack attack of our election should be troubling enough. More troubling are the dismissals and denials along party lines … most especially from Trump himself.
Senate Majority Leader McConnell and House Speaker Ryan debunked U.S. intelligence reports outright. Agent Orange denounced the DNC … but not Russia’s FSB … while omitting one all-important detail:
RNC computer servers were also hacked, but the Russians refrained from releasing these data to Wikileaks.
All told, the Russians hacked the DNC, rigged our election, and successfully undermined confidence in our democracy (while holding the RNC hostage to future blackmail). Donald Trump has now become the Quisling of Vladimir Putin.

  1. Dismissal and denial. The shrug, the scornful noise: it's all it takes to shield the snake, the slithering worm, the crooked politician and the oligarch. Is Trump Putin's John the Baptist? The Renfield to the Russian Dracula? The master is coming and blood will be involved.

Everything contains its opposite. There's a denial on the other side of every belief and truth, like any particle has its antiparticle. How many of us turn of the rock or flip the coin? The lies are designed to make us feel comfortable, the way cattle chutes are designed, the Judas goat in a blond wig leading us on. We will lose interest, the beer and bowl games. Maybe the market bubble will persist for a while. Nothing to see here, just keep moving along. Nothing to complain about, jobs will appear to set you free.
