Defining the Definers

Okay, folks. A month to go. I'm going to get into making some calls to Colorado and Nevada in the next week. My state, Kahleefornia, is already being renamed Barackland, so all we have to do is show up to cast our individual votes here. Anyhow, my simple-dino point is the following: the Obama people -- from the top of the ticket on down to the field level -- need to get out in front of the ugly swift-boat campaign that McCain and his schmucks are no doubt feverishly working up as we write and breathe: define it in advance as the vile strategery it is, devoid of substance. Out their fraudulent schemes ruthlessly, and thereby diminish the impact and give those "undecided" voters a healthy way to process the nonsense they are about to hear. If you don't define such tactics in advance, they will define you, just as they are intended to.

  1. The person who can most dilminish the impact is Barack himself. Canvassing on Saturday for Obama showed me that undecided voters don't really want to hear my interpretations of what will be said, they want to see signs of strength from the candidate himself during the debates. I believe that means not only predicting and attacking their smut but also pointing out every slimy thing both McCain and Palin have ever done.
