A GOP sweep of state and federal legislatures has removed all checks and balances. Hello nativism and xenophobia. Bigots and white supremacists have won. Anti-establishment populism has opened the gates of fascism.
Friends tell me to be patient. Give the man a chance. Keep an open mind, they say. No past words or deeds of the president-elect merits such idiotic and misplaced Kumbaya. Most shocking of all, 53% of American white women voted for a known serial sex predator and voyeur. Speaking of cognitive disconnects …
Where does this turn of events leave me? And what are my options? Join street protests? Form an underground resistance movement? Leave the country? All options are open as far as I am concerned.

But, what I will find most amusing, nay what will be hilarious, is when things fail, the car hits an abutment and you will all blame it on Obama! You never accept failure the whole republican party is as narcisstic as the President elect. This is truly a line in the sand and I am drawing it, evil is afoot, and all like minded people must see our precarious situation. Will we man the barricades filling the breeches for hard won liberties or will we let the forces of evil plunge the US and maybe the World over the abyss. It has been a nauseating roller coaster ride for sure. Everything is on the table and on the line. We have gotten out of the habit of activism and while we needed a breather after the horrors of eight years ago, it is time to polish our swords and don our armor and fight back. We need to be organized and ready to demand accountability from the GOP and its minions. We must not go backwards or give an inch.

America has decided to be a whore and I'm not going to break my heart trying to show love to someone incapable of loving. She can go her own way. Still the future is more uncertain than most of us allow. Many things can happen, something will and this hopelessly naive infant is going to have surprises in store. His own party could impeach him, who knows. He's not going to have many friends, I think, once he starts making us great. I'm not going to do what I've condemned others for suggesting. We don't need another civil war or revolution or blood in the streets. If it were up to me, I would watch and wait while they tear themselves to pieces and the smug bastards who talk about smug liberals will have other idiotic opinions to espouse while America sweeps the streets .
